Whether on a long ride or a short run to the store you may need a motorcycle purse or bag.  You may have an old time favorite, or are in the market for a new bag, so what should you look for.  Here is a short list of some ideas.

Bag with Clasp

Number one on the list should be how secure is your bag?  It should be clasped or attached securely to your body.  A heavy duty zipper or clasp is required so as not to lose the contents while you are riding.  Is it easy to get into?  There is nothing worse than trying to open a bag, with cold fingers, and being so frustrated that you want to throw the bag to the ground.  So test the bag before you buy and make sure you love it.

Options are limitless for style.  Leather is by far the best for detailed workmanship.  With leather you can add fringe, studs, decals or custom engraving.  Of course the cost will reflect all that detail, but they do last for many years.  Once you get past the initial expense, these purses are like jewelry, they never go out of style.  Nothing is better than a well worn leather purse pouch.  So put your personality into your choice, since you will want to keep it for a long time.

As a side thought if you have a conceal carry permit, there are purses or bags that have that extra pouch as an add on. The key words here are “conceal carry permit“!

We recommend heading to your local motorcycle shop, we love supporting local businesses.
